With Your Support, I Will Work To:

Place all employees of the Trustee's office under Civil Service to prevent political and other abuses "Employees in Knox County should be free to support anyone they want in an
election without fear of losing their jobs and should not be forced to
donate money or work for any candidate they don't want to in order to keep
their jobs."

Reduce the current overstaffing in the Trustee's office where there are twice as many employees as in the Davidson or Hamilton County Trustee's office.

"We need to do this the right way by helping those employees who leave the
Trustee's office find quality jobs. But that said, the office is way
overstaffed and this issue must be addressed."

Close 4 of the 6 current substations and let local banks collect the taxes to save Knox County hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

"It is wasteful not to let the banks collect the taxes and it will save taxpayer money when we let them collect taxes again. We must also stop the practice of using the county satellite offices as mini campaign sites.

Eliminate outside delinquent tax attorney.

"We can't continue to let one attorney have a sweetheart deal at the expense of the taxpayers. I will let the county Law Director act as the delinquent tax attorney or, in the alternative, put this service out for bids, saving the tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars. The way the system has been working is not fair to the citizens of Knox County
Currently form the appointed tax attorney gets a sweetheart deal and then raises thousands of dollars for the Trustee's reelection so they can continue to get the same inside deal in the future. I will never accept one dime of campaign donations from the delinquent tax attorney or any member of their law firm."

Give the Trustee's commission back to our schools. Our children need it.

"We must work to give the Trustee's commission back to our schools- this year alone our schools will be charged 3.5 million dollars just to move money in their budget line. That's wrong. I will lead the fight to give this money back to our school children. They need the money."
